Policies

  1. Booking and Payment Policy:
    a. All reservations must be made in advance, either online or over the phone.
    b. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
    c. We accept all major credit cards and debit cards.
     

  2. Cancellation Policy:
    a. Cancellations made more than 72 hours prior to the scheduled activity will receive a full refund.
    b. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled activity will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
    c. No-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled activity will not be eligible for a refund.
     

  3. Age and Weight Restrictions:
    a. Participants must be at least 8 years old to take part in our riding activities.
    b. The maximum weight limit for participants is 250 pounds.
     

  4. Riding Attire and Safety Gear:
    a. All riders are required to wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and a provided ASTM/SEI-certified riding helmet.
    b. Personal helmets are permitted but must meet ASTM/SEI standards.
     

  5. Liability Waiver:
    a. All participants must sign a liability waiver before participating in any riding activity.
    b. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver on their behalf.
     

  6. Health and Physical Fitness:
    a. Participants must be in good health and have no medical conditions that would prevent them from safely participating in horseback riding activities.
    b. Pregnant women are not permitted to participate in riding activities.
     

  7. Weather Policy:
    a. Elk Mountain Riding Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule riding activities due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
    b. In the event of cancellation, we will make every effort to reschedule your activity or provide a full refund.
     

  8. Conduct and Behavior:
    a. Participants must follow all safety instructions and guidelines provided by Elk Mountain Riding Company staff.
    b. Elk Mountain Riding Company reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a riding session if a participant is deemed to be acting irresponsibly or poses a risk to themselves, others, or the horses.
     

  9. Alcohol and Drugs:
    a. The consumption of alcohol or use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited before or during any riding activities.
    b. Elk Mountain Riding Company reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
     

  10. Damage to Equipment or Property:
    a. Participants are responsible for any damage caused to Elk Mountain Riding Company equipment or property due to negligence or willful misconduct.
    b. Participants may be held financially responsible for any necessary repairs or replacements.
     

By booking and participating in any activity with Elk Mountain Riding Company, you agree to abide by these policies, terms, and conditions. Failure to adhere to these policies may result in the termination of your riding session without a refund.

    b. Participants must follow all instructions given by our staff and respect the needs and limitations of the horses.

    a. If you witness any unsafe behavior or conditions, please report them immediately to a staff member. b. We encourage open communication to address any concerns or suggestions to improve the safety of our operations.

    b. Elk Mountain Riding Company is not responsible for any personal property that is lost, stolen, or damaged during your visit.
